Industry-first to launch a 3 Gigafast package to future-proof homes in London

London, UK – 4 November, 2020 – Today, Community Fibre has set a new speed standard for broadband in London by launching the Capital’s first 3 Gigabit home broadband service. The new package is the fastest available speed offered to residential customers in London, with download and upload speeds of 3Gbps. This innovative launch reinforces Community Fibre as London’s fastest full-fibre network and marks a key milestone in future-proofing homes for the inevitable increase in data usage.

Today’s UK average download and upload speeds are 64Mbps and 14Mbps respectively (source: Ofcom), making the 3 Gigafast package theoretically 46 times faster than the UK download average and 214 times faster than the UK upload average.
