How we install full fibre broadband to your building and home

Your journey to better broadband starts here. Before we install our broadband into your building or home, we prepare the cables in your street. Here’s what to expect.

Our free installation usually takes up to two hours.

We are available to install your new connection on Monday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm. 

Speed explained

At Community Fibre we like to be transparent with our customers. We advertise speeds you can expect to get on a suitable device using a wired (Ethernet) connection to the router. Connect more devices and that speed is shared between them. Using WiFi will always be slower than a wired (Ethernet) connection.

We supply the Linksys Velop Mesh router with intelligent Mesh™ technology as standard with all our packages. It’s one of the best on the market.

Unfortunately, not. Unlike most other providers, our network fibre cables come all the way into your home and need to be connected to your equipment by one of our trained engineers.  The installation of your service will require a home visit by one of our engineers. 


If you have taken up our WiFi in Every Room service, our engineers will tailor your router installation to the specific needs of your home to ensure that you get the best coverage. 


Due to COVID-19, the engineer will take increased hygiene precautions ensuring that their hands are thoroughly sanitised between appointments. 


Our equipment is compatible with third-party routers should a customer wish to use one. However, we do not provide support or troubleshooting on any equipment other than those we supply.

Ideally the account holder should be there to make sure they’re 100% happy with the installation. If this isn’t possible, a responsible adult (aged 18 or over) needs to be present.

You can amend your installation appointment online here up to 48 hours before your installation appointment. You will need your order reference number from your confirmation email and email address. If you wish to amend your appointment less than 48 hours prior, please let us know immediately on 0800 082 0770 from Monday to Friday, 8am-9pm and weekends, 9am-7pm.
